As part of the Housing Safety Project (formerly known as Homes for 100 Women), we conducted an extensive scan of national and international literature on best-practice housing and support models for trans women, cis women and non-binary people and their children at immediate risk of homelessness and violence.

This research places strong emphasis on papers that elevate the voices and lived experiences of women and gender diverse people who have faced housing instability and family violence. It also draws on insights from expert interviews with agencies delivering gender-specific housing and support services.

These papers are designed to be read either individually, or collectively to provide a holistic understanding of the current literature on homelessness for women and non-binary people.
